Modifying number of trials from 96 to 40

Hello,

Thank you very much for your wonderful software. I look forward to using it in my research.

I have imported the Stroop task qualtrics file (the example STROOP file from the google drive) from the download page on this website.

I was trying to make the following modifications:
1) I wanted to reduce the number of trials from 96 to 40.
2) I wanted to have 2 separate conditions (a “control” condition that sees only congruent pairs) and a regular condition which sees congruent and incongruent pairs.

To do #1, I simply removed the items from the pre-generated list in the qualtrics file.

However when I did this, after the last item was displayed, it would go to a blank screen.

Is there something else I need to change when I change the number of trials?

For #2, I simply copied the blocks… is that allowable or do I need to do something else. If it’s easier, I can simply create 2 surveys…

Nevermind I figured out my mistake.
It had nothing to do with the above.

Great. Just make sure that when you copy blocks, you need to give the new block a unique blockID and a unique exitID/tag. Otherwise, the information is not stored and parsed correctly.
