Can't integrate text response into QRTE Loop and Merge structure

I need to include a text response following three image Questions in each loop of my survey. In QRTE, I can create the survey without a text box question and advance through the slides OR I can create a text box that does not save the text OR I can add a text box question not in the engine and retrieve the text (in this version, all of the Questions show at once). But, I can’t view each question separately, get RTs on those AND retrieve text entered into a text box for each series.
Any idea how to handle this??
