Dr. Bruno Bocanegra’s idea of running behavioural experiments in Qualtrics was the spark needed that lead to the creation of the QRTEngine. Next to that, he is one of the co-authors of the QRTEngine paper. His advice and expertise has allowed us to properly test the Engine on various well-known cognitive tasks and interpret the results in a theory-consistent manner.
His research topics include, emotion, early vision, attention visual and auditory word recognition and visuomotor processing. He enjoys investigating neural theory using cognitive methods (neural cognitive science) and uses various behavioral approaches ranging from psychophysical paradigms, adaptive testing, word recognition tasks, attentional paradigms, and masked priming paradigms. In very general terms his research is aimed at uncovering reciprocal interactions between “bottom-up” and “top-down” information processing.
